AAC qualifies for ISO certification

Chamika Wimalasiri representative of SGS Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., for ISO: 9001:2015 presented the ISO certificate to Dhammika Attygalle, President – AAC. Also, present State Minister of Transport Lasantha Alagiyawanna M.P., Vice Patron Piyankara Jayaratne M.P., Keerthi Gunawardana – Vice President, Ananda Dangalla – Vice President, Devapriya Hettiarachchi – Secretary. On this historic occasion Dr. Mohammed Ben Sulayem – President FIA (Federation International DE L’Automobile) and Greig Craft – President FIA (Federation International DE L’Automobile) Region II sent felicitation messages via online.

Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC), the oldest and largest motoring organization in Sri Lanka, which was established in 1904, has qualified for ISO 9001:2015 certification for the following activities: “Issuing International Driving Permits and Recognition Permits, Valuation, Road Side Assistance and Membership Management, which is Valid until October 2025.”

The ISO 9001:2015 certification was granted to the Association after an audit carried out by SGS United Kingdom Limited, determining the conformity of the management system and its,

Ability to ensure applicable statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements are met,

Effectiveness to ensure the client can reasonably expect to achieve specified objectives, and

Ability to identify as applicable areas for potential improvement.

The upgrading of our system under this scheme enable our members to obtain not only an efficient but also consistent and satisfactory services and upgrading facilities to international standards.
