A new scene cropping up!
Sing-along events seem to be the ‘in thing’ nowadays. I guess, it’s because these musical evenings are family oriented and one doesn’t have to wait till the rooster starts crowing to go home!
In most western countries, the wind up hour is 1.00/1.30 am and, who knows, we may even see sing-along events coming up to usher in a brand new year.
And…yes, we seem to be setting the trend.
Popular band Nalin and the Star Combination, along with DJ Star Effex, will usher in the New Year at the Grand Monarch, with a Sing-Along-cum-Dance, for the entire family, and friends, from 7.30 p.m.. to 1.30 a.m.
Says Nalin: “The night will provide a unique and affordable opportunity of singing along with those evergreen, unforgettable perennial favourites and, after that, grabbing your partner and taking the floor to dance your cares away.”
There will also be a Christmas Sing-Along, on December 17th, at The Grand Monarch, from 7.00 pm onwards, with Sohan & The X-Periments doing the needful.
This event is to mark the 46th anniversary of Herbert Perera, as a photo journalist, and is in aid of the United Christian Evangelistic Movement Poor Relief and Medical Fund.
