TV viewers, Down Under, especially those in Melbourne, had the opportunity of seeing some of the guys involved in Sri Lanka’s first ever telethon, ‘Arise Sri Lanka,’ which was live streamed to the world, from the Nelum Pokuna open-air theatre, in Colombo, on August 29th, 2020.
Well-known TV presenter, Noeline Honter, did the needful when she interviewed Richard de Zoysa, Sohan Weerasinghe, Dr. Nilanka (who performed on the show) and the writer (Ivan Alvis from The Island newspaper).
The programme, titled ‘A Look at Arise Sri Lanka with Noeline Honter,’ was aired last Sunday (Sept. 27), on Australian TV, with a telecast, on Channel 31, in Melbourne.
