HNB Assurance and HNB General Insurance kick-start 2022 on a high note
HNB Assurance PLC (HNBA) and HNB General Insurance Limited (HNBGI), kick-started 2022 on a positive note, celebrating many milestones achieved in 2021.
The highlight of the celebration was the appointment of Lasitha Wimalaratne as Chief Executive Officer of HNB Assurance PLC and Sithumina Jayasundara as Chief Executive Officer of HNB General Insurance Limited. The First Working Day event of HNBA and HNBGI was graced by the presence of the Group’s Chairperson, Mrs. Rose Cooray, the newly appointed CEOs, members of the Executive Committee and other distinguished guests.
Both HNBA and HNBGI ended the year on a positive note and has put in place effective customer-centric strategies for 2022 to take both businesses to new heights, seizing new markets with high growth potential. Both Life and General Insurance businesses remain focused on taking care of its customers by delivering value as well as superlative returns to all its stakeholders and building both businesses through innovation, technology transformation and agile business practices.

The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka (AHK Sri Lanka) proudly facilitated the first-ever Sri Lankan delegation’s participation at Drupa 2024, the world’s largest trade fair for the printing industry and technology. Held after an eight-year hiatus, Drupa 2024 was a landmark event, marking significant advancements and opportunities in the global printing industry.
AHK Sri Lanka played a pivotal role in organising and supporting the delegation, which comprised 17 members from the Sri Lanka Association for Printers (SLAP), representing eight companies from the commercial, newspaper, stationery printing, and packaging industries.
