32,000 youth recruited by GR regime to be confirmed in service

State Minister of Defence Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon, yesterday (09) told Parliament that 32,000 youth who were recruited to the state service to support various activities under the Gotabaya Rajapksa government would be confirmed in service in 2023. They have already been deployed at various institutions and have already received job training.

“The government is planning to send a section of these youth for foreign employment, he said.

“We have enrolled them in various skills development courses and most of them have already received the necessary certification,” the State Minister said.
