300 new liquor licences for govt. MPs, alleges SJB

Gampaha District SJB MP Harshana Rajakaruna told Parliament yesterday that 300 new liquor licences are to be given to government MPs.

“This is a bribe given to them by the President. The government MPs are bent on amassing as much money as they can during the coming months because they know they will not be re-elected.

The President needs their support for the upcoming presidential polls. To ensure this, the government MPs are to be given 300 new liquor shop licences, Rajakaruna said.
