1725 kilos of rice gifted by India found rotting in warehouse

Residents of Asikulam, Vavuniya on 01 January found 1,275 kilos of rice sent from India 18 months ago to be distributed among the people, in a warehouse.

Those who found the rice stocks have informed the Public Health Inspectors about their discovery. The Inspectors have found that the rice can no longer be consumed by humans.
