117th AGM of Automobile Association of Ceylon

The 117th Annual General Meeting of the Automobile Association of Ceylon is held on 29th June 2022 at the Association Auditorium. The AGM was well attended. AAC was established in the year 1904.

Whilst the members appreciated the manner in which the arrangement had been made for the meeting, they also commended on the excellent performance of the President and the Executive Committee members for their achievements during the year 2021. There was much Recognition for the record Financial achievement of Rs. 17.8 Million net profit earned after taxation, which is 33.3% increase in comparison to the previous year. This was despite the Covid-19 lockdown in the first three months of this period.

The President of the Association from the chair proposed the name of President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as Patron of the Association and Hon. Piyankara Jayaratne M.P (Life Member) and Desamannya, Sasana Keerthi Sri Lanka Puthra Nandadasa Rajapaksa (Life Member) Emeritus Chairman D.S.I. Group as Vice Patrons, which were carried unanimously.
