100 Tamil-speaking female soldiers deployed in Jaffna for pandemic-related duties

A team of 100 motorcycle riding female soldiers has been deployed in Jaffna for COVID-19 duties and for enforcing travel restrictions.

All members of this rider team could also speak fluent Tamil and can communicate with the public.

The team has also been tasked with raising public awareness of pandemic prevention measures.
