‘Nekathata Palayak’ tree planting ritual for Sinhala and Tamil New Year performed at Navy Headquarters

Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera planted a mango sapling at the Navy Headquarters premises  at the auspicious time of  06.38 a.m today  (20th April 2023)  as part of the national tree planting project for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year ‘Nekathata Palayak’.

A similar programme was held in the Southeastern Naval Command under the patronage of Commander Southeastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kanchana Banagoda.
